Olive's Seven Month Photo

Olive's mom finally got her act together and took her seven month pictures!

She is looking very snazzy in her Luluboo merch.

Olive is crawling now; almost three months ahead of when big sister did.  So that means everything on the floor is ending up in Olive's mouth.  Not that there's anything on my floor...other than peas, hair, dust, pieces of rug that Olive has ripped off, broken macarons, crackers, etc.  It also means that she tries to crawl into spaces where she doesn't fit...like the two inches between the refrigerator and the wall.  That one made her pretty mad.  At least she's pretty.

Olive's Half Birthday!

Olive is six months old! And it's becoming increasingly more difficult to get her to sit still.

I have no idea how much she weighs or how tall she is because her appointment got pushed back.  Sorry Olive!  Olive loves rolling around and is almost crawling.  She can move backwards pretty easily.  She loves eating her oatmeal, and I guess since she's six months old, we have to start her on baby food.  I hate feeding babies baby food.  Just eat the chicken I made everyone else.

Olive is a really happy and relaxed baby, except when teething gets really bad, then she only wants to be held.  She loves playing in her exersaucer and her JumpeRoo.  We love our little Ollie Boo Boo!

Celebrating Olive and America

Olive loves America! And she thought she would show it off in her five month photo!

Olive is rolling around and chewing on anything she can get a hold of.  She smiles at everyone and laughs particularly at her big sister.  She also knows when the United States became the United States.

I wanted to make matching 4th of July outfits for the girls this year, and I also wanted to practice my new found applique skills.  But who wants a lame old firecracker shirt that says "Baby's First Fourth"? Certainly not the Hutsons.  And fabric with Hello Kitty dressed as the Statue of Liberty? Excuse me? Definitely not American.  So we decided to go as American as we could possibly go.  George Washington.

Happy Fourth!

Four Months Old

The Boo Boo turned four months old! ...three days ago.

She is the smiliest baby I have ever seen.  She LOVES playing with her sister and loves to roll around on the floor all day.

She is starting to chatter all the time.  Lila always did more of a sing songy "AhhhhHHHHHhhhhHHHH."  Olive's is more of a very vicious and determined, "AHHHHHHHHHHH, GRRRRRRR, AHHHHHHHH."

She can roll over, sleep through the night (when she feels like it), smile, laugh, suck on her hand, and be the cutest baby this side of the Mississippi.

Three Months

The Boo Boo is three months old today! Look, she can barely fit into her 3-6 month onesie.  None of those tiny babies for us.

She is working really hard on rolling over.  I found her on her stomach in her crib a few nights ago, so I'm assuming that was her first roll over and not that we weren't just sleep deprived and put her down that way.

She loves to smile and jibber jabber more than any other baby I've seen.  Sometimes she sleeps through the night, and she is starting to drool a bunch, so I'm thinking teeth are on their way.  Ingrid Anderson told me when I was pregnant with Lila that the first three months are the hardest.  She is totally right. Adios least fun part of Olive's life!

Olive's Two Month Photo

Baby Olive is two months old!

Weight: 11lbs 10oz (75%)
Height: 22.5 in (50%)

Olive loves to lie on the floor and kick around.  She's starting to get on a schedule with eating and napping and does a great job sleeping at night, usually only getting up once.  She had to get her first shots at her two month appointment, which is always so sad.  She fell asleep right after them, but when she woke up, she was sooooo upset. Neither Lila nor Little Guy seemed to be as affected by shots as Ollie Boo Boo.

Olive's One Month Photos

Olive is already one month old!

She is 9lbs 2oz (50%) and 21 3/4in (75%).

She's a very good baby during the day but is extremely cranky from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and demands to eat pretty much the entire time.  She'll then give us about 4 or 5 hours of sleep before she wakes up to eat again.

Note the toes in the picture above.  "I see it Mama!"

We love our little Ollie Doodle. And she's not all starved looking like Lila was at one month old.  Sorry about that one, Lila.  Have another Pop Tart.

Hutson Family Yearbook 2012

I got the idea of doing a yearbook for our family every year from a mislabeled Pinterest post.  I've been working on this album on Shutterfly for the last few months, and I finally got it printed out with a good deal from Zulilly. Forgive the photos of photos.

Hutson Family Yearbook 2012

I included a little year in review page where I cut Sarah Mann and Emma Akerly's heads off.  Don't worry about it.

Added a little synopsis of our year.

Each month got a couple of pages with pictures and small descriptions of what happened in that month.

December was of course a very full month, and I made an extra page that included special highlights from Christmas like what gifts Johnny and I got each other, what we did for Christmas Eve, and who found the pickle.  It's always the pregnant woman.

I also included a page to highlight the different crafts that I made and a page for our Christmas photo shoot.

The book, of course, would not be complete without a large picture of Baby Lila on the back.

I had a lot of fun making the album. Here's hoping it's not one of those one time things.

12 Month Photos

Happy Birthday Lila!  Today I took her final monthly photo.  She got to wear a tutu.

Lila was pretty impressed with herself.

I thought I would line up all of her photos to make myself cry.

Four Months

Five Months

Six Months

Seven Months

Eight Months

Nine Months

Ten Months

Eleven Months

Twelve Months

My little girl is all grown up.

At one year old Lila loves:
  • graham crackers, goat cheese, blue berries, grapes, crackers, and potatoes
  • Are You My Mother?, Fancy Nancy, Olivia, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar
  • Didi, musical instruments, cups, plates, Mommy's cell phone, and stacking blocks
  • puppies at Land of Paws, puppies on walks, puppies on YouTube, puppies in pictures
Lila is very loving and affectionate.  She loves to hug people, give kisses, and wrap her arms around her friends' shoulders.  She is a great snuggler, likes to pretend to talk on the phone, is very good at pulling things apart and making messes, and loves to sing.  We can't imagine our lives without her.

Lila's Eleven Month Photo

Only one month to go!  You're going to have to wipe my sniveling, crying self off the floor when she turns one.

Pictured here with Lila is Didi, her favorite toy.  Lila loves to read books and will sit in your lap and listen as long as you let her.  Lila can stand up on her own, crawl, and climb the stairs really fast.  She loves going to the nursery and playing with other kids.

She still loves goat cheese and graham crackers.  Her new favorite food this month is blueberries.  Whenever she eats she always looks at me and says, "Chee," meaning that she wants more cheese...we have created a monster.

Lila has seven teeth total now and wears either a size 12mon or 18mon.  She is extremely affectionate with everyone.  She likes to snuggle into your chest and pull her arms underneath her.  She'll even try to snuggle with the couch sometimes.  We realize how extremely blessed we are to have her, and we're hoping that we get to add another one to the family soon, even if it is just for a little while.

Lila's Ten Month Photos

Lila is officially 10 months old.  We've reached double digits.

Some things that Lila likes include brushing her hair with either a hair brush or a tooth brush, looking at books in her room, pulling all the dvd cases onto the floor, standing up while holding onto the coffee table, and eating off the floor.

She has four teeth all the way in and two teeth coming in.

For the most part, she sleeps in her crib from 7:30pm to 7:30am with no waking up, and she naps once or twice a day wherever and whenever she feels like it.

Her favorite foods include graham crackers, goat cheese, cheddar, gouda (ok any kind of cheese), scrambled eggs, yogurt, peas, clementines, and grapes.

Just in the last few days, Lila has started trying to walk while holding onto our hands.

Behold the winds of change.
